CAREER HISTORY TO DATE - Ted got his real estate license in 1991 and his joined his associate broker wife, Nancy, at Century 21 Hathaway-Genta in Rexburg, Idaho. Having previously farmed, driven truck and run a convenience store/car wash, real estate looked like a profitable and easy mesh for "Spouses Selling Houses" to be formed. Being a natural at sales and loving to work with people, Ted succeeded quickly and Nancy was able to help from home starting in 1998, while staying home with their small children. Ted didn\\\\\\\'t have help from assistant at the office until he hired Tracy in 2007 and Kathleen in 2008. Yet he has maintained Centurion status, Double Centurion, and Grand Centurion in the Century 21 system. PROFESSIONAL, COMMUNITY AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS - Ted has served as a director and President of the Upper Valley Association of Realtors, served on state committees and local committees. He served on the Rexburg Planning and Zoning Committee for 8 years and is consistantly consulted on items that come up at city council and p&z. He is an active member on the committee for a free medical clinic in Rexburg - Community Health Clinic - and has helped raise money for that important cause. Ted is active in his LDS church with many leadership and service positions. He donates to and sponsors many local sport teams and fund raisers. He helps a lot of people in need as he can with service, care and attention.PERSONAL BACKGROUND - Ted grew up in Springfield (west of Blackfoot), Idaho where he was raised on a farm with 6 siblings. He learned a strong work ethic from his parents and knows the benefits of working hard and putting in an honest days work! Up before dawn for chores and out until dark for more chores, he is not afraid of hard work! Barely out of high school, he took on a farming project of his own, only to have the cop froze out. He realized the risk of farming and decided to get into a more predictable profession. After serving a 2 year mission for his church in Seattle, Washington, he came to Rexburg and opened a Mexican restaurant - Gringos - in 1986. He met Nancy while while looking for places to rent for the business and they were married in 1988! Ted quickly became father to Nancy's 3 daughters and has been a model dad to them and their two children they have together! Ted's hobbies and interests are spending time with his family snow skiing, doing water sports, scuba diving, traveling, dirt biking, riding his Harley, playing yard games and watching sports and activities of his children and grandchildren. Ted and Nancy have 5 children; Leslie, Stacie, Rozalynne, Alei, and Dillon. They have 9 grandchildren. ACHIEVEMENTS AND AWARDS - ted has been Realtor of the Year for the Upper alley Association of REaltors. He has completed many classes in addition to receiving his Broker's license. Ted receives many referrals and recommendations to clients from title companies, appraisers, and lenders who have worked with him and know his professionalism and knowledge of the area and market. Many out of state agents and brokers are aware of his expertise and regularly communicate and work with Ted.
